On May 30 Ineke was appointed honorary member of the Dutch Vocal Teachers Association (NVZ)! In a long speech, that you will find below, the chair of the NVZ praised Ineke’s contribution to the vocal world both as a performing artist and a high level educator.

The adventurer among Dutch jazz vocalists.
Edison Award winner, vocalist, pianist, and respected authority in the fields of jazz, improvisation, and teaching jazz and pop styles. Ineke is internationally renowned for her adventurous vocal style and exceptionally wide vocal range. She performs around the world at major jazz events, clubs, and concert halls.Ineke has written a number of fascinating articles for publications including Vocazine, Zing Magazine, and the EVTA Echo. She has given pop and jazz vocal education in the Netherlands a professional boost with her book Singing From the Inside Out (Professional Singing for Everyone), a book that is now used at conservatories around the world. She was also one of the pioneers in offering professional development courses for vocal teachers in the Netherlands. We therefore extend our heartfelt thanks to Ineke for her contributions to pop and jazz culture within vocal education.
The NVZ recognizes the importance of her life’s work and honors Ineke with an honorary membership for exceptional merit.
